App Haus / Haunted Hold’em
Your game.
Your information.
Privacy policy · Effective October 16, 2026
App Haus LLC operates Haunted Hold’em, an Apple TV game with a phone-browser companion. This policy explains how information is handled when you play, visit our website, or contact game support.
Information on your devices
The Apple TV app saves settings, game statistics, character progress, and achievement progress on your device. Your browser saves profile and preference information and room-specific reconnect credentials so you can return to your seat. Reconnect credentials have an expiry time; expired entries may remain in browser storage until you clear that storage. Private cards are not saved in browser storage.
Playing together
When you join a multiplayer parlor, your chosen name, character, connection and seat identifiers, game actions, and game state pass through our internet relay to the Apple TV host. Choose a nickname if you do not want to share your real name. Other participants see the public table; private cards and personalized controls are routed to their intended player.
We use this information to operate the game, reconnect players, and prevent abuse. The relay can access messages while routing them. Network connections use TLS encryption; the relay does not provide end-to-end encryption between players.
Temporary rooms and hosting
Render hosts the relay in the United States. Room and connection information, including a limited character-unlock and game-count preview, is held in server memory. Room closure, expiry, or a relay restart removes that room state. A short grace period allows a disconnected TV host to reconnect. There is no server-side saved game-night archive.
The relay processes network addresses for connection handling and abuse prevention. Its bounded, in-memory rate-limit records can remain after a room ends, until they are evicted or the process restarts. Hosting services also process technical information, such as IP addresses, request details, and diagnostic information, to deliver and secure the service.
Application and diagnostic logs available to us in the Render dashboard are retained for seven days under our current workspace plan. This is separate from room expiry and does not mean all information held by the hosting provider is erased after seven days. Render may retain its own operational, security, and legal records according to its privacy policy and data-processing terms.
Game Center and Apple
Game Center sign-in on Apple TV is optional. When you sign in, the app loads and reports achievements through Apple and locally stores an account identifier and pending reports to associate progress with the correct account. Browser guests do not need Game Center. Apple handles App Store transactions and its own account services; we do not receive your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of information is described in its privacy policy.
Support emails
If you contact hauntedholdem@apphausnc.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. We use them to respond, investigate problems, and handle privacy requests. Google Workspace provides our email service. Luke, the owner of App Haus LLC, is the only person at App Haus with access to the support inbox.
We keep support correspondence for 12 months after the issue is resolved, then delete it from our mailbox, unless a legal obligation or an active dispute requires longer retention. Provider recovery and backup copies may take additional time to expire under the provider’s processes. Please do not send passwords, payment details, room invitations, or reconnect tokens.
Our website
Render hosts apphausnc.com, and Cloudflare provides its DNS. Visiting the site sends connection and request information to the services needed to deliver it. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives information such as your IP address and browser request details when those fonts load. See Google Fonts’ privacy information.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking in this release. We have not added third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs to the game or website. The website’s contact links open your email app; it does not submit an inquiry form or store your message on the website.
Sharing and access
Information is shared with other players as described above and with service providers needed to run the game, website, and support inbox. Providers may use authorized personnel and subprocessors to operate their services. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect the service and the rights and safety of its users.
Your choices and deletion requests
- Use a nickname, play solo, leave a parlor, or end the game night on the TV.
- Clear site data for the browser companion to remove saved profile, preferences, and reconnect information. This can prevent you from reclaiming an existing seat.
- Delete Haunted Hold’em from Apple TV to remove its local app data. Choose Delete, rather than Offload, which keeps data. Deleting the app does not delete achievements held by Apple; manage those through Apple’s Game Center services.
- You can use the game without signing in to Game Center. Manage Game Center sign-in in your Apple TV settings.
There is no separate Haunted Hold’em account to create or delete. For access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, email hauntedholdem@apphausnc.com. We may ask for enough information to verify your request, and will respond as required by applicable law. We can handle records in our control and work with providers where needed; we cannot remotely erase data on your devices or promise immediate removal of provider backups. We do not retain additional identifying information just to match an expired game room to a person.
Children and permissions
Haunted Hold’em is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it. The game does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions. Scanning a room’s QR code uses your phone’s camera app.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. A future native phone app or new data-processing feature may require an updated policy.
